How we prepare every bike before selling it
At Planet Bikes, every bicycle goes through a complete preparation process before being offered for sale. Our goal is to ensure that each bike is reliable, safe and ready to ride for many more kilometers.
1. Full workshop inspection
Before any bicycle is offered for sale, we carry out a complete inspection in our professional workshop. This is not just a superficial cleaning. We carefully check and adjust all mechanical and structural components.
- Frame and fork inspection
- Headset inspection and adjustment
- Drivetrain system check
- Wheel alignment and truing
- Brake system inspection
- Bearing check
- Dynamic road test

2. Replacement of wear components
In all cases we replace the most important wear components to ensure optimal performance:
- New brake pads
- New chain
These elements are essential for the safety and performance of the bike, which is why they are always replaced regardless of their condition.
3. Frame protection
Many of our bicycles feature adhesive frame protection (3M-type) to prevent damage caused by friction or impacts.
- If this protection shows even the slightest sign of wear or damage, it is replaced with a new one.
- This ensures that the frame remains well protected and in excellent visual condition.
4. Inspection and replacement of critical components
In addition, we inspect all critical and wear components of the bicycle.
Any part that shows signs of wear or does not meet our quality standards is replaced with a new one.
